Richmond Police Chief holding series of Town Hall Meetings to share his vision
RPD Chief Alfred Durham will hold four Town Hall meetings within the next two weeks as part of his ongoing effort to inform the public about his vision for policing in Richmond.
WHEN: Wednesday, May 4, 6 – 8 p.m.; Thursday, May 5, 6 – 8 p.m.; Tuesday, May 10, 6 – 8 p.m.; Thursday, May 12, 6 – 8 p.m.
WHERE: 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th PrecinctsBACKGROUND: RPD Chief Alfred Durham will hold four Town Hall meetings within the next two weeks as part of his ongoing effort to inform the public about his vision for policing in Richmond.
“These meetings are a continuation of our community policing strategy,” said Chief Durham. “The purpose of these Town Hall meetings is for me and my staff to get input from the general public; what we can do better and how they can help us do better.”
There will be one Town Hall meeting in each of RPD’s four precincts:
- 1st Precinct – Wednesday, May 4, 6 – 8 p.m.
Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar St.- 2nd Precinct – Thursday, May 5, 6 – 8 p.m.
Southside Plaza Community Center, 4100 Hull Street Rd.- 3rd Precinct – Thursday, May 12, 6 – 8 p.m.
First Baptist Church, 2709 Monument Ave.- 4th Precinct – Tuesday, May 10, 6 – 8 p.m.
Richmond Police Training Academy, 1202 W. Graham Rd.
