Puzzle-solving meets scavenger hunt at the Big Idea Challenge

Use your brain power for glory and recognition – plus some fabulously tacky prizes.

The third annual Big Idea Challenge, a puzzle-solving scavenger hunt developed by Ravenchase Adventures, will take place on Wednesday evening, June 4 at the Science Museum of Virginia.  An after-game celebration will be held at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery.

The Big Idea Challenge pits five-person teams against each other in solve-a-thon, a battle of wits and reasoning that sends puzzle-solvers throughout the Science Museum for the chance of winning “fabulously tacky prizes,” not to mention the moniker “biggest brains in Richmond.”

This year’s Big Idea Challenge has no registration fee but each participant is required to raise $100 in pledges to support the Community Idea Stations, the region’s public broadcasting outlet.  Proceeds from this year’s BIC will go to support PBS Kids.

In addition to their entry into the game, participants receive a Big Idea Challenge t-shirt and a coupon good for their first drink at Hardywood.

A team from Capital One emerged victorious at last year’s Big Idea Challenge, with a team from Carmax winning the inaugural game in 2012.

There is a warm-up happening tomorrow so get your thinking caps on.
