Lofty apartments coming to Church Hill

In theory by spring of next year people could be moving into one of two new apartment buildings on the 3600 blocks of East Broad and East Marshall streets.
Margaret Freund of Fulton Hill Properties has started construction on The Lofty, a two-building apartment complex spanning a block between Broad and Marshall streets in Church Hill. The $4.5 million project will be Fulton Hill Properties’ second Church Hill apartment development in the last three years.
“We think it’s an awesome neighborhood. People want to live in this neighborhood,” Freund said. “You’re two minutes from everything that is happening down on Main Street, with Stone (Brewing Co.) coming and everything on the riverfront – you’re in the city, but at the same time, you’re up in the treetops.”
