John Marshall High School staff member suffers heart attack breaking up fight – Arrests made

ABC8 News is reporting that several arrests have been made in this incident.

Six juveniles have been arrested in connection to a large altercation last Wednesday at John Marshall High School.

One of those juveniles was charged with felony mob assault, simple mob assault and trespassing. Another juvenile male from Petersburg was charged with disorderly conduct, trespassing and two counts of simple assault.

Two Richmond females face charges for simple mob assault. A second Richmond female was charged with inciting a riot and simple mob assault and the last Richmond female was charged with disorderly conduct and simple assault.

Several local news sources are reporting that on Wednesday afternoon six to seven students were involved in a fight. School staff members and two security officers attempted to break up the fight. In their attempt to break up the fight one of the staff members suffered a heart attack. The staff member along with other injured staff members were taken to a local hospital.

ABC8 is reporting, “Serious charges are pending the police investigation for some students involved in the fight, according to a school board member.”
