Henrico police seek robbery suspect

On Friday, April 15, 2016, at 3:24 PM, Henrico Police responded to the 4700 block of Finlay Street for a commercial robbery.

On Friday, April 15, 2016, at 3:24 PM, Henrico Police responded to the 4700 block of Finlay Street for a commercial robbery. The victim reported that a white male entered the business and approached the counter. The suspect told the victim that he had a firearm and an explosive device and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled the business, but left a suspicious item behind. The surrounding businesses were evacuated and the Henrico Explosive Ordinance Unit responded and determined the item was inert.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 6’ tall, 160 pounds, wearing a tan jacket and a painter’s mask. A photograph of the suspect can be seen below. Witnesses reported the suspect fleeing the area in brown Chevrolet sedan.

Henrico Police again responded to the 4700 block of Finlay Street on April 18, 2016. The victim reported that the suspect returned to the business at 4:16 PM and attempted to enter. The doors were locked and the suspect was unsuccessful. The suspect then fled in a tan Chevrolet Impala. In both incidents, the suspect concealed the license plates of the vehicle.

Henrico County Police Division is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the subject responsible for these crimes.
