Good morning, RVA! It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for friends on social media to pull out all those old embarrassing photos you wished stay buried with your repressed high school memories! Yes, that’s me in the photo above sans facial hair alongside my freshman year hall-mates (Go B-Suite!) acting like we didn’t have a care in the world.

Back in the present day, it’s 69°F outside and it’s going to be a B-E-A-utiful day outside with a high of 91°F and mostly sunny. Get outside and enjoy it!

WATER COOLER

Same-sex couples will not be getting married today as the battle over same-sex marriage in Virginia continues. The U.S. Supreme Court agreed to a stay on a federal appeals court’s ruling against Virginia’s ban on same-sex marriage, so it looks like gay and lesbian couples will have to wait a little longer to get legally married here.

Style Weekly’s Annual Power List is out this week. In the past, it’s mainly listed politicians and those with financial means. But this year, the list is broken up into categories and features many more powerful players in the game.

Some awesome RVA folks made this video at the Coalition Theater to win a spot on the finale of Drunk History. This intoxicated history report focuses on the story of Sybil Ludington, who was famous for her night ride alerting American colonial forces of the approach of the British during the Revolutionary War. Vote for it!
