Good Morning, RVA: Beautiful back-to-school weather
Beautiful weather we’re having today, isn’t it?

Good morning, RVA! It’s 41 °F and rising. Today’s beautiful forecast is just that: beautiful, sunny, clear, and warm with temperatures reaching 70 °F. I tried, and failed, to find something to be grumpy about this morning; I’ll save it for tomorrow when we’re expecting a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

You might see some forlorn children congregating around the city’s street corners this morning. Don’t worry, you didn’t miss some Dickensian tragedy. Today’s the first day back to school after spring break.
It’s Richmond Restaurant Week! This means two things, 1) tons of local restaurants will offer a three-course, $25.14 menu to benefit FeedMore, and 2) you will need a reservation at places you typically would not. Plan accordingly.
Today at 10:00 AM, Governor McAuliffe will deliver “remarks regarding his first 100 days in office” at the Library of a Virginia.
Kraft has recalled “approximately 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners because the products may contain Classic Cheese Dogs in the Classic Wieners’ packages.” Honestly, that…doesn’t sound too terrible?

People of Earth: Stop apologizing for your ideas.
At least once a week, I see a tweet from someone who’s written an article, blog post, or talk, and they preface the link to their work with something like this:
“I wrote a little thing…”
This really bugs me. I almost see it as an apology for the fact that they’re sharing it with me: “Sorry to bother you, but there is this little tidbit you may or may not be interested in, no problem if you’re not.”
