For the Love of Poodles and Pooches Rescue needs a little rescuing as well

We are trying to make a difference one dog at a time, one family at a time.

For the Love of Poodle and Pooches was founded in 2013 by three women who all have full-time jobs and families but wanted to help save and re-home dogs. Since that start they’ve managed to find spots for 450 dogs. The organization, which gained non-profit status last year is no struggling to make ends meet.

In recent months, the group has encountered a growing number of unexpected veterinary bills. With 25-30 dogs in their care, all with various medical issues- some more severe than others, the organization admits that they are out of money. “We were completely blindsided by the recent bill,” says Terri McDonnell, one of the founders of Poodles & Pooches. “I’ve already put 3,000 dollars of my own money towards keeping the company open for another week but we need something more substantial to keep everything running.” The group has set up a GoFundMe page in an effort to gather the money they need to continue treating the dogs in their care.

“Thousands of dogs are being killed every day in the United States. We are just trying to right a wrong. We are trying to make a difference one dog at a time, one family at a time,” say McDonnell. Help support this group by donating today.
