Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day like an edible cupcake corsage

A unique gift option from Carytown Cupcakes.

I’ll be honest with you. The few times in life that I remember to send my Mom a Mother’s Day gift is either lame, late, or both. I was intrigued when the words Mother’s Day Edible Corsage came into my email. One of those words I’m a huge fan of, the other looked French, and the first two I knew were fast approaching.

Imagine my surprise when I found out corsage was a fancy way of saying a flower on a cupcake, also known as cakes in a cup or portable hand cakes. It was the perfect Mother’s Day gift because it involved me going to a store that sold cupcakes. A gift that was thoughtful, filling, and pretty, Mother’s Day decision made.

On Sunday, May 11, starting at 8:00 a.m., Carytown Cupcakes will open it’s doors to celebrate
Mother’s Day.

Whether it’s Mom, Grandma, Auntie or Sis – we all have a soft spot for the women in our lives. This year, instead of
worrying about throwing together a last minute brunch or a lengthy multi-course dinner, buy them a special unexpected
treat. As per Mother’s Day tradition, Carytown Cupcakes will be offering corsages. These corsages come in the form of
cake. They’re vanilla bean cupcakes, filled with vanilla bean pastry cream, topped with vanilla bean buttercream and a
fresh, edible orchid. Each cupcake will be packaged in a tiny corsage box with a silver bow. Why so much vanilla, you
may ask? Vanilla actually comes from orchids- our clever nod to the holiday itself. Both gluten-free and vegan varities
will be available for order as well.

For those interested in pre-ordering, we will allow orders for pickup after 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 10th and anytime
on Sunday May 11th. On Mother’s Day, the shop will be stocked with 16 different flavors as well as the Mother’s Day
corsages. To reserve a corsage now, call: 355-2253.
