Burger Week is upon us

Put down the salad and go get a burger.

I won’t deny the appeal of a good burger. I also won’t deny the appeal of paying only $5 for a burger. These two factors result in me being a fan of RVA Burger Week.

Nearly every restaurant that serves up burgers is running a special this week that will get you a $5 burger and you can check out all your options at the previous link as well as download your Burger Passport. If you eat at any three participating restaurants you’ll be entered to win a $200 VISA gift card which could be used on burgers.

I am however giving a look of disapproval to those restaurants that are only offering up a plain burger for burger week. C’mon show a little burger passion.

As I mentioned there are a lot of options but the one that as me most intrigued is by Starlite (2600 W. Main Street) called the La Chupacabra. A half chorizo, half ground beef 8 oz. patty topped with white American, fried jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle mayo on a brioche bun.
