Two females are in trouble with the law after leaving three children unattended in a car outside the Short Pump Walmart. Henrico Police were called to the scene around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday morning after a witness saw the children, ages 8 months, 2 years and 7 years, inside a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Police located those responsible for the children, 20-year-old Starline Mae Hanley and 19-year-old Leondria Louise Brantley, by paging the two over the store’s intercom system.

Hanley, who is the mother of the 8-month-old, was released on bond and has a november 16 court date. Brantley is the mother of the two-year-old and aunt of the 7-year-old, according to police. She remains in jail, awaiting a bond hearing. Both women live in Richmond.
