Take a family stroll with Mark Warner

The Senator helps YMCA of Greater Richmond kick off their Fall Into Fitness program.

Tomorrow, October 26th, Richmonders can join Senator Mark Warner for a family-friendly bike ride or walk around historic Belle Isle. Take in the views, get in some family time, discuss the recent government shutdown with the Senator while workin’ on your fitness, whatevs.

The walk begins at 9:00 AM. The first 50 people to arrive will get a prize. Parking is available at Tredegar Street (just look for the YMCA signs).

This event will serve as the kick-off event for YMCA or Greater Richmond’s Fall Into Fitness, an interactive program that promotes health and wellness. From October 26th through November 23rd (that’s four weeks), the Y encourages you to be active three times a week–walk in your neighborhood, garden, play with your kids, anything that gets you moving. If you record your activity on the Y Fit App or online, you’ll have the chance to win prizes, including a year of family membership or personal training.
