Style Weekly dines at Kuba Kuba Dos

While Reviewer Karen Newton found some shortcomings, she says the overall experience was a positive one.

Cuban music and an effusive interior welcome guests to Kuba Kuba Dos, a second outpost of the beloved Park Avenue location.

The newer spot is bigger and bolder, with an inescapable suburban feel perhaps better suited to its West End clientele. The interior sports wallpaper of green palm fronds near the extended bar, matched by green walls covered salon-style in paintings, photographs and prints, including one portraying co-owner Manny Mendez as a saint.

Newton notes disparities in service and (some of) the food from the original location.
