Props to Ukrop’s!

In addition to some swell sales lately (case in point: this week), Ukrop’s is upping the ante by changing its double coupon policy beginning next week: On Wednesdays it will double manufacturer’s coupons up to $.99! While I don’t see many $.99 value coupons, that means $.75 coupons are worth $1.50.

There will be a couple of other changes to Ukrop’s One Day Deals lineup:

In addition to the normal 99¢ egg deal on Thursdays, Full Circle Organic Eggs will be on sale for $2.89/dozen.

Friday’s deal will change from the current “2 for $1 Food Club bread” to Perdue boneless chicken breast at 50% off regular price (net price $1.99/lb).

Saturday milk sale prices will increase- Skim, 1%, and 2% gallons up to $2.49, and whole gallons to $2.59. Additionally, it will offer Full Circle organic half gallons for $2.59 each.

Meat Top Pick

Bell & Evans Frozen Chicken Tenders are “Buy One, Get One Free” this week at Whole Foods, regularly $6.49.

Veggie Top Pick

Bags of Hanover gold and silver line frozen vegetables cost $.99 at Ukrop’s.

Fruit Top Pick

Here come the apple sales – $.99 for a 3-lb bag of Red Delicious apples at Ukrop’s (limit 4), and
Gala apples $.99/lb at Kroger.

Dairy Top Pick

Kraft shredded or bar cheese $.99 with Savings Spot coupon at Ukrop’s, must buy 2, limit 2.

Staples Top Pick

Campbell’s chicken noodle or tomato soup are $.50 at Kroger, and selected varieties of Progresso soup are $.99 at Ukrop’s. If you’re shopping today, take advantage of double coupon day and use a “$.50 off 2” manufacturer’s coupon for a final price of $.50 each.

Snacks and Sweets Top Pick

As American as chocolate, lemon. and apple pie… Ukrop’s Bakery chocolate fudge or lemon chess pies are $3.99, and Mrs. Smith’s frozen pies are $2.99 at Kroger (plus use a $.75 off coupon from last Sunday’s paper).

Beverage Top Pick

Score $2.75 Coke 12-packs at Target or $.79 Coke 2-liters at Ukrop’s.

Household Top Pick

15-oz Suave shampoo or conditioner is on sale for $.50 at Ukrop’s. Get it for free if you have the manufacturer’s coupon for $1 off 2.
