Old stone house
Happy Friday, everyone! Time to show off your Richmond smarts with another question about a lovely image from the Valentine Richmond History Center’s digital archive. We’ve got a special prize up for grabs this time, so don’t miss out!
The Anthem Stride Through Time 10K (scheduled for June 5 this year) passes by numerous museums, historic sites, and businesses in downtown Richmond, including The Poe Museum, located in the Old Stone House on E. Main Street. The Old Stone House is one of the oldest structures in the city.
True or False? The Old Stone House is the former home of Edgar Allan Poe.
Know the answer? Take the quiz for a chance to win!
We’re doing things a little differently this week. Of the folks who answer correctly, one winner will be picked who will then get to choose between an 8×10 of the featured image, a two-pack of tickets to any 2010 walking tour, OR an entry in this year’s Anthem Stride Through Time. Good luck!
(Anthem Stride Through Time will be taking place on June 5. This 10k walk starts on Brown’s Island and takes you through nine historic districts in Richmond. To learn more, stop by the Sports Backers website.)
