Favorites: The Cask Cafe’s sausage and gouda panini
When I heard that The Cask Cafe was born of some folks from Commercial Taphouse, I knew the beer selection would be excellent (it is). But the food alone is worth a visit. Leaning heavily on products from Sausage Craft and other local producers, the menu offers a modest list of straightforward sandwiches, meats, and cheeses. For lunch, it’s hard to beat the sausage and gouda panini ($7). Get the “Saturday Nite” sausage (made with Hardywood Singel and Sriracha) for a little zing to go with the creamy melted cheese and crunchy Billy Bread.
