Celebrate African and African American art with “Culture King” at the VMFA

The June 11th event complements the current “Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic” exhibit currently featured at the museum.

Celebrate African & African American Art at “Culture King,” to be held Saturday, Jun 11th from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The exhibition is free and open to the public. It also includes free admission to “Kehinde Wiley: A New Republic,” which is on display in the museum’s main exhibition gallery.

Through art activities, demonstrations, and participatory performances, visitors can discover the global art of Kehinde Wiley and explore African and African American art and cultural identities.
