Pair Indicted in East Cary Street Robbery/Abduction/Assault
Thanks to good tips from the community and solid investigation, Richmond Police detectives have identified and charged a couple who abducted, robbed and assaulted a woman this past fall.
At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, 2013, a woman was abducted at gunpoint in the 2500 block of East Cary Street by an unknown male and female. The offenders then forced the woman to drive them around and withdraw money from several locations before the male sexually assaulted the victim.
After following up on several leads, detectives asked for the public’s help to identify two persons of interest based on surveillance video. As a result, the pair was identified as Bradford L. Gaskins, 43, of the 5400 block of Belmont Road, and Tina Marie Hancock, 42, of Midlothian.
Gaskins has been indicted on charges of robbery, abduction and sexual assault while Hancock has been indicted for robbery and abduction. Their mugshots are attached.
