WHAT DOES YOUR START-UP BUSINESS DO?

Well Pack offers care packages with products that help people recover from illness and be well. Our first pack has products that help cancer patients manage the side effects of chemo. In the future we hope to offer packs for allergies, diabetes, heart disease, and joyful occasions like pregnancy.

HOW DID YOUR VENTURE START?

The idea for Well Pack was born while I was recovering from a routine out-patient surgery and sent my boyfriend on multiple trips to CVS for the random items I needed to help me get well. Receiving a care package of the things I needed would have been awesome, and it would have made life easier.

If a care package could have helped me recover from a simple surgery, then it could likely be incredibly helpful to people suffering from chronic illnesses. The past couple years of my life have been busy with supporting my boyfriend as he battles colon cancer. He endured nearly a year of chemo, radiation, surgery, and more chemo. It seemed natural for me to put together a care package to help people manage the horrible side effects of chemo, especially once I realized the need and lack of such products on the market today.

HOW WILL YOU USE THE $10,000 CASH PRIZE TO HELP YOUR START-UP?

The $10,000 would help to make our first product, the chemo pack, sustainable by allowing me to test various products, build an inventory, and increase awareness so that more people can benefit from the product. It would also help me to launch at least one or two more types of packs.
