Vanderbilt, New Mexico, Drake and VCU headline a 10-team field for the inaugural Cancun Challenge, which will begin Nov. 16 and conclude over Thanksgiving weekend. VCU has been selected as one of four “host” institutions and will play a pair of home contests before departing for two games in Cancun, Mexico.

The Rams kick things off Sunday, Nov. 16 when the Citadel visits the Alltel Pavilion at the Stuart C. Siegel Center. On Wednesday, Nov. 19, VCU will play host to South Dakota State. Times for both games have not been released.

All 10 teams will head to the five-star all-inclusive Moon Palace Resort in Cancun Nov. 29-30. The schools will split into two pools, with VCU, Vanderbilt, New Mexico and Drake in one and the other six teams competing in another.
