Style Weekly dines at Southern Kitchen “Mouth of the South”

A straight up southern restaurant.

From Style Weekly:

The cooks don’t play around with Southern dishes at Mouth of the South. The kitchen unleashes fat, sugar and salt liberally — as it should — though with varying levels of success. While I usually maintain that if it’s immersed in a vat of spitting oil, it’s good, that’s only sometimes true here.

What I took away from the review was that I need to go to Southern Kitchen “Mouth of the South”, sooner rather than later. A quick glance at their menu confirms that initial reaction.

There aren’t many places in Richmond that I can think of that offer, two Jumbo turkey wings with your choice of two sides for $11. The shrimp pictured above don’t look shabby either.
