There will be delays tonight at the 295 flyover due to the installation of beams on the project.

Construction of the Interstate 295 flyover project in western Henrico County will cause overnight detours. Motorists will be detoured off eastbound I-64 at exit 175 onto Broad Street and back onto I-64 at exit 178 from 10 p.m. Wednesday through 5 a.m. Thursday, weather permitting.

Crews will be placing steel beams over I-64 east for the new flyover bridge. This detour will affect those traveling through the Short Pump area on I-64 east. Expect delays.

In another project-related lane closure, there will be right and left alternating lane closures on I-64 east between mile marker 176 and Broad Street (mile marker 178) from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 6 a.m. Wednesday in order to move a crane into the median.
