Boulevard and Monument is one of the most dangerous intersections in the city. People often violate the no left turn rule, and cars rip through the intersection trying to make the light. Also, it’s a nightmare for pedestrians, as the street lacks walk/don’t walk signals.
From Richmond DPW…
Crews will replace two existing pedestal poles with new mast arm poles, which will significantly improve motorist and pedestrian safety at the intersection. This project is expected to be completed by Friday, October 17, 2008.
Expect some delays over the next month.
