Residents of North Richmond’s Rosedale neighborhood straddle both the 2nd and 3rd districts of the City of Richmond, and the civic association has organized candidates’ forums for both districts:
3rd District Candidates’ Forum – Saturday, September 27:
The Rosedale Civic Association is sponsoring a forum for the 3rd District on Saturday, September 27, from 7:00 until 9:00pm in the parish hall at Christ Ascension Episcopal Church. Candidates running for City Council are incumbent Chris Hilbert and challenger Jonathan Davis. Christ Ascension is located at 1704 West Laburnum Avenue, near the intersection of Hermitage and Laburnum. Off street parking and a parking lot in the rear of the church are available. Please come with your questions for the candidates. Refreshments will be served.
2nd District Candidates’ Forum – Saturday, October 10:
The Rosedale Civic Association also is sponsoring a forum for the 2nd District (Rosedale is split between the two districts) on Saturday, October 10, from 7:00 until 9:00pm at The Hermitage. Invited are City Council candidates Charles Samuels and Tyron Bey, and School Board candidates Kim Gray and Lisa Dawson have also been invited. Please come with your questions for the candidates. Refreshments will be served.
