Relay Foods adding Short Pump pickup location beginning February 20th

The business’s sixth West End location will offer more convenience for customers.

Relay Foods, a rapidly-expanding local business that offers a convenient way to buy groceries online and then pick them up, is adding a West End pickup location.

Relay’s newest pick-up location will be at Shady Grove United Methodist Church on Pouncey Tract Road in Short Pump beginning Friday, February 20th. The location will be open from 3:00 until 6:30 PM.

The Short Pump location is the business’s sixth in the Richmond area, and one of a large and continually growing number in the metro area.

“[We] are looking forward to not only being a part of their community initiatives, but also providing great groceries to customers in that area,” says Kerith Rae, Local Market Manager of Relay Foods, of the West End location.

“We’re kind of like if Amazon and a farmer’s market had a baby–bringing local produce and sustainable groceries to people, no subscription services, just good food and a convenient way to get it,” Rae continued.

Relay’s delivery truck will be set up in the church’s parking lot, in the far corner near Shady Grove Road.

Customers using the code ‘GROVE5’ when ordering will receive $5 off their first order, and customers who sign up and share their own link via social media or other methods (as well as those who use said codes) can earn up to $30 off of their groceries, Rae says.
