A man was found fatally shot about 7:30 this morning in front of an apartment building on Richmond’s North Side.
Police responding to calls reporting shots fired found a man, believed to be in his 20s, lying in front of apartments at 3019 Chamberlayne Ave. in the Ginter Park neighborhood.
The victim was transported to VCU Medical Center, where he died.
The homicide was the city’s 49th of the year, compared with 71 at this time last year.
