Carytown’s own Jean-Jacques Bakery was recently featured in Style Weekly. The store serves up fresh bread, pastries, and cookies weekdays and Saturdays.
But the big draw is their custom cakes, which can be designed in all shapes and sizes. Jean-Jacques specializes in custom cakes, for weddings, birthdays, or any special occasion.
The bakery won Richmond Magazine’s top prize in 2006 for Best Bakery. We all know how much esteem we hold in those awards, so maybe next year the RVABlogs Richmond Best/Worst awards can feature a best bakery category. And pass out the awards in nifty frames.
Jean-Jacques is located in Cary Court at 3138 Cary Street.
