CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – Have you ever wondered if the teapot Aunt Margaret left you is merely a dust collector, or could help pay for your new roof? Find out at the second-annual Antiques Evaluation “Roadshow” on Saturday, March 28, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., at Chester Christian Church, 4330 Curtis St., Chester. Specialties of the evaluators include Civil War artifacts, antique firearms, books, furniture, dolls, toys and flatware. Detailed photographs of personal items may also be brought in for evaluation. The fee to have one item evaluated is $10, or three items for $25. The featured speaker will be antiques expert and local author Emyl Jenkins, who will present “Antiques 101: Everything you need to know or wish you knew” at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jenkins is the author of the novel “Stealing With Style.” Proceeds will benefit the Chester Lions Club and the Chesterfield Historical Society of Virginia.
