Ginter Park Baptist Church will present four events to celebrate this Advent season.
The church’s annual Live Nativity scene will take place at 4:00 and 5:00 on Sunday, December 9, at the corner of Brook Road and Laburnum Avenue. There will be time provided after each presentation for children (and others!) to meet the animals. After the first presentation, refreshments will be provided at the Farley Community House (1203 West Laburnum). After the second presentation, at 6:00 pm, the church will host a community dinner in the church’s fellowship hall.
On Sunday, December 16, at 10:30 am, the church will present its annual service of Lessons and Carols. The service will present the story of Christ’s coming to earth through readings, choral selections and congregational singing.
The singing continues on Wednesday, December 19, at 6:45 pm, when church members will do neighborhood Christmas caroling.
On Christmas Eve, the church will celebrate the coming of the Christ child with a worship service at 6:00 pm on Christmas Eve.
The church is located at 1201 Wilmington Avenue (the corner of Brook Road and Laburnum Avenue).
