Fire destroys garage on Wexford Lane
Fire started around 3:45 PM.
Although lightening was heavy around the time of the fire the cause is unknown at this point.
Fire crews were dispatched to a garage fire at a Richmond home Wednesday afternoon as storms rolled through the city.
The Richmond Fire Department was called to a home in the 6600 block of Wexford Lane around 3:45 p.m.
Once crews arrived, they battled heavy flames and smoke before extinguishing the fire.
No one was injured.
Fire crews said there was no indication that the fire was weather related.
Crews are working to figure out what sparked the blaze.
