My favorite class that I took at VCU was on the Civil Rights Movement. And the textbook was Eyes on the Prize by Juan Williams and Julian Bond. Williams is an Emmy award winning journalist and has a way of framing things that just makes everything crystal clear. October 4th, Juan Williams is coming to The University of Richmond to speak on race in a talk titled “Beyond Black and White.” Best of all, tickets are free! They went “on sale” today and they have sold more than half of the 600 seats available already, so if you want a seat call soon.

All programs in the series are free and open to the public. Tickets are required and can be reserved three weeks before each event by calling (804) 289-8980. For group tickets, contact Sue Robinson Sain at (804) 287-6627 or jepson@richmond.edu
