Linas Kojelis, Chairman of the Petersburg Republican Committee (PRC), announced that Dave Foster, Candidate for the GOP Nomination for Virginia Attorney General, will meet with city and area Republicans on Wednesday, January 28th at 6pm at the Ramada Plaza Hotel (Bistro Café), 380 E Washington St , in Petersburg.  The meeting will include a presentation by Mr. Foster followed by questions and answers.

“Mr. Foster is the second of the three GOP candidates for Attorney General whom we have invited for an in-depth introduction to our city, to share with us their plans for Virginia and to engage in an exchange of ideas with Tri-City and other area Republicans,” said Mr. Kojelis.   Mr. Kojelis also announced that PRC Treasurer Pat Harvey will serve as the unit’s liaison to the Foster campaign.
Last week, the PRC hosted candidate John Brownlee.  The date of the visit of the third candidate, Sen. Ken Cuccinelli, will be announced in the future.

Before the public meeting, the PRC has arranged a luncheon with Republican leaders and a tour of the city for Mr. Foster including historic Old Town, Route 36, Blandford and other parts of the city.   “Our main focus will be in areas and on subjects where Virginia’s attorney general can help in the transformation of our city,” stated Mr. Kojelis.

The three GOP candidates for Attorney General are campaigning for delegates to this year’s convention of the Republican Party of Virginia, taking place in Richmond on May 29-30, 2009.  Delegates from Petersburg will be selected at the city’s Republican mass meeting this spring (TBA).

All Tri-Cities Republicans are welcome to the public meeting at the Ramada.
