COTU organizes ‘LeBYRDski’ event in support of Byrd Theatre Foundation

A celebration of everything not un-dude, like helping the Byrd Theatre–Lebowski style.

Center of the Universe Brewing Company and The Byrd Theatre Foundation are planning a fundraiser of El Duderino proportions–The Big LeBYRDski.

There are a lot of ins, a lot of outs, and a lot of what have yous, but all proceeds will benefit the Byrd Theatre Foundation.

Along with a special screening of the 1998 cult classic The Big Lebowski, attendees can enjoy El Duderino and other COTU brews.

The special evening is 21 and up (“This is not ‘Nam…there are rules!”) and takes place November 7th. Doors open at 7:00 PM and the movie will begin at 8:00 PM.

“The Byrd is a historical theatre that has a great impact in the Carytown area,” COTU co-founder Chris Ray says of the venue. “The restaurants feed off of its visitors, who in turn support our breweries. It’s only right to step up and do what we can to insure the Byrd Theatre sticks around for generations to come. Plus, I couldn’t think of a more beautiful place to screen such an incredible movie.”

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Eventbrite; $15 the day of the event. Admission includes one beer token to be redeemed for a glass of El Duderino, COTU’s special Lebowski brew.
