Construction underway on Cabela’s store in Short Pump

The massive 82,000-square-foot store is projected to open in July of 2016.

From the Henrico Citizen:

Construction of the Cabela’s location in Short Pump is underway.

The outdoor retailer began construction earlier this month on its location at West Broad Marketplace, where it will be the first anchor to open (in March 2016). Wegman’s will follow that June.

West Broad Marketplace is currently preleasing small shop, anchor and pad sites for first or second quarter 2016 openings.

The store will anchor the new mixed use shopping and office center along with Wegman’s. In total, the project will include more than 400,000 square feet of finished floorspace.

…there’s ONE entrance/exit to Broad St? How could anyone think that isn’t a horrible idea? It’s going to be a nightmare getting in and out of that shopping center.
