The City of Richmond Youth and Workforce Development Division is accepting applications for the 2008 City of Richmond Youth Academy Summer Session from May 1 through May 30. The Youth Academy Summer Session will offer participants, ages 14 to 17, workforce opportunities and placement from June 30 through August 8.

Youth will be required to complete up to 25 hours of workforce skill development and training activities each week. Participants will be assigned a placement site and complete all components of the session during the designated time frame. Participants will be provided a modest financial stipend and transportation assistance will be made available, if needed.

Visit the city’s Human Resources Department website to apply for the session or contact 646.7491 for more information. Selected youth will be contacted directly to complete the official eligibility screening in May/June 2008.
