Bob Kocher of Once Upon A Vine provides this update on the annual “Christmas on MacArthur” event, which takes place next Saturday, December 13, from 12noon until 4:00pm along the 4000 block of MacArthur Avenue (which will be closed to traffic):

  • Local crafters and artists will line both sides of the street, displaying and selling their wares.
  • Santa Claus will give each child small gift, and it will be a perfect time for parents to take that special holiday photo of your child with Santa.
  • The Richmond Fire Department will have a truck parked and the Virginia State Police will be there with their motorcycles for the kids to enjoy.
  • The Richmond Police Forensic Squad will offer free fingerprinting of children (for parents’ use).
  • There will be live music inside of Samis Grotto each hour. Artists scheduled include The Unknown Favorite, Amy Henderson, The Taters, and Charles and Sara Arthur.
  • There will be clowns, face painting, food and other activities.

There is still space available for artists and crafters. To sign up or if you have any questions, contact Bob Kocher at 726-9463 or Chris Egghart at 4025 Yoga and Wellness at 698-4377.
