Chesterfield County Extension Offers Rain Barrel Workshops
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, VA – The Chesterfield County Virginia Cooperative Extension office is offering workshops on making rain barrels. Learn how to conserve water, reduce pollution runoff and protect the environment. Workshops will be held at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds on Thursday, March 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Friday, March 6, 10 a.m.-12 noon, and Saturday, March 28, 10 a.m.-12 noon and 1-3 p.m. The Chesterfield County Fairgrounds are located at 10300 Courthouse Road. Registration is required and barrels are limited to two per household. The cost is $40 per barrel, and payment must be received prior to the workshop. To reserve a barrel, call (804) 751-4401. After registering by phone, payment must be made by check via mail. Checks should be made out to “Friends of Chesterfield’s Riverfront” and mailed to Chesterfield County Cooperative Extension, P.O.
