Less than six months after debating whether to keep the chronically underenrolled schools open, the board voted 7-2 to add sixth-grade students to both schools [Cary and Fisher] beginning next year. “This will certainly increase our enrollment, something that’s been an issue at both schools,” Cary Principal Brenda Phillips said during an afternoon work session.
