From the PPD: On November 14, 2008 at 10:08 A.M. Petersburg Police received a 911 call for an armed robbery at the BB&T Bank located at 117 E. Washington Street (on the corner of Adams and East Washington Street).  The lobby had several citizens conducting business at the time, however, there were no injuries. The lone suspect escaped by foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  The Dinwiddie K-9 unit assisted with a track with negative results.

The suspect description is a black male, 6’ tall, medium build, wearing an orange ball cap with what appears to be an NFL insignia on the front and back, a black do rag under the cap, black sunglasses with wide frames similar to safety glasses, thin goatee with a thin beard, black leather coat coming just below his hips, a silver with red and blue designed metal on the left side of the front of the coat, black baggie pants, and brown work timberland boots.
