Today’s RTD provides summaries of 2007 Type 1 crime data (homicide, aggravated assault, rape, robbery, burglary, larceny, auto theft and arson) in central VA. For a table giving total incidents and crime per 1,000 people for 24 communities in the Richmond area, click here. (Petersburg’s Crime per 1,000 was 84.4 in 2006; 93.3 in 2007 — the largest across all 24 jurisdictions in both cases, by quite the unhappy margin.)
