Another office-to-residential redevelopment project slated for Museum District

Carter Snipes announces the neighborhood’s second such proposed project in a month.

Yet another Museum District office building could be razed for an apartment complex if a local developer’s vision is realized.

Richmond BizSense reports Carter Snipes of Snipes Properties has a 14,000-square-foot office building at 3410 Cutshaw Avenue under contract and would like to construct between 19 and 25 condos or apartments on the property.

Just last month, developer Justin Oliver of Oliver Properties announced his intentions to raze another office building at Patterson Avenue and Nansemond Street, mere blocks away.

Snipes told BizSense approval for his project could take between 18 and 24 months and will involve seeking approval from both City Council and the neighborhood association.

BizSense has more details on the cost of the venture and size of the project here.
