A petition to rezone the Museum District elementary school has been circulating:
Due to budget issues, the Richmond School Board is proposing to close Clark Springs Elementary School and transfer the students to John B. Cary Elementary School. The result will be a very large single school district with the potential for overcrowding.
To help alleviate overcrowding, foster a more neighborhood school system, and improve operational efficiencies, it is recommended to rezone the Museum District to attend William Fox and/or Mary Munford Elementary Schools.
There is a public meeting on Wednesday [MORE] about the potential closing of John B. Cary ES.
