The Taming of the Shrew with a Hollywood twist for free at Maymont

Henley Street Theatre & Richmond Shakespeare will be performing  The Taming of the Shrew for one night only on May 13th at 7pm at Maymont Park.  This event is sponsored by Maymont and the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation.   This is a free event and open to the entire family.

Set in the 1930’s, this production evokes the best of Hollywood’s screwball comedies and glamorous musicals, gangster movies — even the Marx Brothers and WC Fields! This beloved Shakespeare comedy about men, women, power and love will charm and enchant you.

Location:  Carriage House Lawn at Maymont
