Symphony Musicians of Richmond come together for United Way benefit concert

The free classical music concert takes place Monday, February 1st at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

A group of local area musicians are coming together for the third year to make an impact on the community with a fun, casual evening of classical music.

The Symphony Musicians of Richmond (SMOR) have partnered with United Way for ‘Music Unites’ with conductor Victor Yampolsky, who will give a performance of Beethoven’s 7th Symphony and highlight the many ways that music builds community. Maestro Yampolsky, a frequent SMOR collaborator, will join in on the concert.

Guests will have the chance to meet and mingle with the musicians and conductor after the concert. It all takes place Monday, February 1st at 7:00 PM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. A reception will follow the concert.

Admission is free, but donations to United Way are highly encouraged. St. Michael’s is located at 4491 Springfield Road in Glen Allen.
