The famous folk singer from country music royalty will headline this year’s folk festival.
Rosanne Cash will headline this year’s Richmond Folk Festival. The daughter of famed country musician Johnny Cash, Rosanne Cash has become a popular folk singer on her own merits. So, how did the Folk Festival nab her?
From the official release:
Rosanne’s appearance at the 2012 Festival occurs in conjunction with her visit to Richmond in support of the work of the Richmond-based non-profit, Children Incorporated. Children Incorporated provides resources for children in need in the U.S. and 22 other countries, in the form of education and providing basic needs–food, clothing, healthcare and school supplies–to more than 15,000 children worldwide through established schools, orphanages, and community centers.
Ron Carter, executive director at Children Incorporated, said “Rosanne has been supporting Children Incorporated for 25 years, and we are thrilled to have her in Richmond to help celebrate and share her involvement and belief in our work.”
Rosanne Cash will perform on Saturday, October 13th at 1:00 PM on the Altria Stage.
