We mentioned earlier this week that “Give Richmond the Byrd” T-shirts will be for sale at the Watermelon Festival to help raise funds to keep this beloved Richmond landmark up and running. $25,000 is the goal, and if a T-shirt isn’t your thing, they have a few other giving options or this weekend. Teams will be at the Byrd for the duration of the Watermelon Festival (Sunday, 10am to 6pm) to collect donations. Here’s what they’ve got set up…

Make a $10 donation and and you’ll receive a coupon page to local, Carytown businesseslike Nacho Mama’s, All Fired Up, Helping Hands Vet, New York Deli, AlterNatives, Compleat Gourmet, Basili’s, Chop Suey Books, Mongrel, Advanced Wellness Center, fab’rik, Plan 9 Music, Richmond Camera, Cartwheels & Coffee, World of Mirth, Eurotrash, Pink, and It’s Hip to be Round. Not only will you be helping the Byrd, you’ll be on your way to supporting local businesses.

Any $1 donation gets you a chance to win a prize from Bev’s, The Byrd, CeCo Studio, The Yarn Lounge, Cary St. Tobacco, Look Boutique Salon, and more.
