I couldn’t be more disappointed. As a long time supporter of the Byrd I feel the message is nasty and inconsiderate of the 35,000+ children in festival attendance. Especially in a bad economy, my money is obviously better spent elsewhere if they feel this is the way to draw attention to a landmark of our city. Why is a church supporting this is the real question? Shame on you guys. At the same festival…The Central Virginia Foodbank will be accepting $10 donations that gets you a great Watermelon themed shirt and enters you in a contest to win $1000 in restaurant certificates… and every penny goes directly to challenge hunger. Now that’s a t-shirt!

  2. @Matt: Awwww come on! It’s “nasty”??? You pantywaist! Get a grip and be an adult. Those shirts are funny, cute and clever. I’m broke and only working part-time and I put out the money for one because 1) The Byrd is a great institution and deserves to thrive, and 2) the shirt is great!!! If you don’t like it, don’t buy one–and move to Salt Lake City.
