British Royal Harpist Claire Jones to visit Richmond Montessori School Friday

Jones served as the official harpist to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales from 2007 through 2011.

From Richmond Montessori School:

The HARPS Foundation is pleased to present Claire Jones, the former Royal Harpist, at Richmond Montessori School on Friday, March 11 at 2 p.m. for a school-wide assembly. Jones will perform and discuss her life in the palace from the perspective of a Royal musician including the experience of playing for a Royal wedding and the Queen. She will perform in the Performing Arts Center, located at 501 N. Parham Road.

Welsh-born harpist Claire Jones, acclaimed for her “virtuosity, enthusiasm, and showmanship” (Daily Mail UK), became a household name in Britain and recognized around the world when she performed at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at Buckingham Palace in April 2011. Claire Jones first came to international attention in 2007 when she was named official harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales; over the course of her four-year tenure she performed at over 180 royal engagements, including private recitals for the Queen.
