Bill Cosby comes to RVA

The famous comedian, author, and television star will perform in RVA later this spring. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Bill Cosby will perform at the Carpenter Theatre on April 19th. He’s the author of best-selling books Fatherhood, Time Flies, and the current, I Didn’t Ask to Be Born, But I’m Glad I Was.

Cosby is perhaps best known for his television work. He became the first African-American to costar in a television series, I Spy, a role that earned him three consecutive Emmy Awards. He was later the star of the The Cosby Show, which ran for eight seasons, and creator of the Emmy-winning cartoon television series, Fat Albert.

Cosby has received the Kennedy Center Honors, the Presidential Medal of Freedom (America’s highest civilian honor), the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor, and the Marian Anderson Award.

Tickets for An Evening with Bill Cosby go on sale Friday, January 25th at 10:00 AM at Carpenter Theatre and Landmark Theater box offices, by phone (1.800.514.3849), or online. Tickets range between $51 – $77 (plus fees).
