Weather! Another damp weekend ahead

Beautiful skies will be in place for the remainder of the day Friday, as high pressure situated off the Virginia coast keeps conditions decent through the afternoon. High temperatures today will climb into the mid 80s, as skies increase to partly cloudy this afternoon. A low pressure system moving into the Great Lakes will bring increasing clouds for this evening. The rain threat stays away for today, but winds pick up this afternoon as the front begins to approach. Low temperatures overnight approach 60 with increasing clouds.
Saturday morning stays dry as well, though the mostly cloudy skies will look ominous. Temperatures in the afternoon will climb to near 75, and the threat of rain increases, including the possibility for an isolated thunderstorm. Chances for rain continue through the evening, though they will diminish some overnight. Lows overnight will fall into the mid 60s.
The threat of rain returns for Sunday. Temperatures will resemble Saturday — highs in the mid 70s, overnight lows in the low 60s. The rain chances are pretty steady for most of the day, diminishing after sunset. Mostly cloudy skies will remain overnight.
Precipitation amounts should be light for the entire weekend; we won’t see more than about half an inch for the entire weekend. Unfortunately it looks like the rain chances will continue into early next week, however. I’ll have a full update Monday morning.
